Welsh Language Research
Sian Edwards is the Research Officer of the Welsh language and is currently busy preparing events and activities under this project. There are many things in the pipeline such as a film workshop a film, an animation project and art sessions. Sian said-
'This is an exciting time for the Menter, while we are approaching the end of the project there is a lot of projects and events planned throughout the county so look out for an event that will be held in your community!’
Sian is also develop a linguistic profile of Wrexham that is aimed to give a picture of the numbers who speak Welsh in the County and the services that are available in Welsh. Family Project
Wrexham’s Family Project which is being funded by the Welsh Language Board is now in its third week and the activity this week is a Singing and Story session with a mystery character which will be held in the Institute in Summerhill. The project is aimed at families who have been educated through the medium of Welsh but have now lost the confidence to use the language withtheir children, so if you think that you fit this category please call Sian Edwards on 01978 363791 for more information.
Prosiect Llyfrgell Genedlaethol Cymru
Mae’r Llyfrgell Genedlaethol wedi dewis gweithio yn ardal Wrecsam y flwyddyn yma i godi ymwybyddiaeth y trigolion o waith y llyfrgell ar y gwasanaethau sydd ganddynt i gynnig. Mae’r Fenter yn gobeithio gweithio gyda nhw ar brosiect animeiddio i adrodd hanes pwysig ac enwog y gall blant selio eu gwaith animeiddio arno. Maent hefyd yn cael arddangosfa yn llyfrgell Wrecsam y noson agoriadol fydd 11eg o Dachwedd a bydd yn y Llyfrgell yn dod a thrysorau o’r Llyfrgell gyda nhw. Mae’r Llyfrgell yn awyddus i wneud cyflwyniadau i wahanol fudiadau a grwpiau cymunedol felly os ydych chi eisiau cael noson gydag arbenigwr o’r Llyfrgell neu I gynnal noson yn esbonio gwaith y Llyfrgell cysylltwch gyda Siân.
