Dafydd the Dragon

Menter Iaith Sir Ddinbych held a competition ‘Name the Welsh Dragon’ at their stand at the Woodfest Festival at St Asaph recently. The competition was open to children of all ages. The children were asked to colour in a picture of the Dragon and guess what they thought its name was. The prize was a pet dragon of the cuddly variety!! The competition was a great success with nearly 50 children competing. However there could be only one winner and the correct name, Dafydd, was chosen by Emily Reid of Rhyl. Emily attends St Bridig’s School, Denbigh. Congratulations to Emily!
