The Mentrau Iaith offer support and assistance to translate all kinds of pieces of work into Welsh!
Some Mentrau have a Community translator who can offer reduced prices for undertaking translation work for some organisations. In addition, some Mentrau have simultaneous translation equipment available to use for a reduced price – look at your local Menter webpage for further information about how your Menter can assist you.
LinkLine to Welsh
The Welsh Language Board provide the LinkLine to Welsh service to assist and support individuals and private, voluntary and public bodies with short translation and editing work.
The LinkLine can
- translate up to 30 words;
- edit up to 75 words;
- translate menus;
- give information about place names;
- give information and Wales and the Welsh Language;

Cymdeithas Cyfieithwyr Cymru - Association of Welsh Translators
Cymdeithas Cyfieithwyr Cymru is a professional body constantly working towards the raising of standards in English/Welsh translation. Established in 1976 it now possesses considerable experience of examining and assessing translators, training, developing and supporting translators as well as advising statutory bodies on translation issues. They also assist employers in the recruitment of translators as well as strategic planning.
